the first sunny sunday in 2011..

twenty-eleven hasnt exactly started off great.. =(

but at least the weather seemed to be looking up last sunday. =)) we sat around in our backyard FOR EVER before heading over to the carters for a little birthday dinner for my bestie jaime!  happy birthday [again] james!!  busted out my camera and tried to get a few shots of my precious boys -

i really wanted a great shot of them.  they were not cooperating at all..

i decided a good shot of this to remember 'the ice storm that WOULD NOT go away' would have to do. that ice is two weeks old..

so.. our photo shoot wasnt a success.. but a little time out in the sun was REALLY good for all of us.

farewell little piggy..

since sept 24, 2008  we have shared our home with an adorable guinea pig named talulah. -- [thats almost 2.5 yearsss] -- ive read that the average life expectancy of a piggy is 4-7 years but i dont know a pig older than talulah and i know a LOT of pigs. ; )  she started a trend on our street and before long she was one of 5 or 6 piggies in our neighborhood!  she was a beloved family member.  kennedy was definitely her mommy and korbie was definitely her biggest fan.  last saturday our sweet talulah left us for piggy heaven.  she will be greatly missed and not easily replaced. RIP Tutu we will always love you!!

he said/she said is my little concept of writing down the genius/ridiculous/hilarious things that our littles say daily.  and we are LONG over due for a few korbie-isms. =)

on the way to dinner last night KP noticed that the moon was full and started this conversation with Korbie..
Dada - Korbie, look at that coooool moon!
Korbie - You mean that Full Moon?  yea.. its just one of the phases Dad.  It goes crescent, then quarter, half, then gibbous [yes - i had to look up how to spell gibbous], then full.  Over and over.  Until we die.

hmmm - guess he told you, Dada. =)  wow.  preschool is really paying off.  he might be a genius before he starts kinder in a year and a half! =))

**KP would like for me to add a note here regarding his attire. ;)  this pic was taken the week BEFORE superbowl and he was merely being supportive of his boy JJs packers.. =)  it also worth noting for memory-sake that they are standing IN our yard.. and the houses you see are ACROSS the street.. but wheres the street??  thats a lot of snow.

...but not on my little blog. ugh. ive been behind before.  but never like this! ick!!  3 months?  really?   - oh well.  i understand that no one really cares at this point and that im just talking to myself.. but thats nothing new.  i spend my day with BABIES!  they definitely do not talk but that doesnt stop me from talking to them.  =)  so, self, here's the plan.  a new post. [not sure if this one counts] and an old post.  until this list is caught up!!!
