guess who lost his first tooth today?!?

and yes that is TOTALLY the new tooth already growing in! kenn's teeth always grew in REALLY fast avoiding too much snaggle-tooth-ness. =) maybe he will be lucky in that department too. but we will enjoy the snaggle-tooth look as long as we can! cutie pie!

korbies summer 2012 [day one]

last thursday was korbies final day of pre-k.  and today is officially his first day of  [haha everybody else has something to do today except me] summer.  and he is just a wee bit excited..

..suddenly that hair that was way too long for the last two weeks of school is completely perfect.  

...memorial day weekend in the sun has given him a pretty sweet glow.

..his attire is as random as it gets.

...unless he is forced - he probably will not wear a shirt again for months.

..that cheesy grin melts mommy everytime.

and i love him as much as i love summer time in texas. =)

pre K graduation!!

in texas you have to be 5 by september 1st in order to start kindergarten that year.  korbie turned 5 last year two days before september 1st.  we had always planned to wait until he turned 6 before sending him to kinder.. we would much rather him be the oldest than the youngest.  =)  however.. it means he had to go to pre K one more year.  he graduated from pre K at FBC mckinney with Dalton last spring so we decided to find another program for him to attend this year.  we were able to work out a carpool plan with his long-time buddy Gracyn. =)  Gracyn was one of the first babies in my little daycare.  she and Korbie go all the way back to 2007.. ;)

 they had a great year in pre K together!  and yesterday they graduated!! =) cant believe they are so big!

a nice even number.. =)  happy birthday KP.  we love you very much!  excited to celebrate with you again.  ..told ya we could make your 30s as good as your 20s. ; )  and soon we will get to make your 40s great too!  haha.. jk! =) love you baby.

a tornado emergency

craziest weather day in DFW in a long time.  tuesday april 3.  tornado tuesday.  luckily the really terrible weather stayed pretty far south of us but we were definitely prepared for the worst around here.  have you ever spent more than an hour in the closet under your stairs with seven small children?  from experience i recommend:  your ipad and lots of snacks..

during springbreak the little man and i took a road trip with my parents to memphis tennessee to visit graceland and beal street.  we had SO much fun!  and i took a ton [or 40ish] pics. but i havent found the time to edit them yet with easter shoots going on!  ugh!!!  this will have to do until i can add the rest.

yep.. THAT really happened!!  ahhh.. i love my little elvis!

st patricks day on greenville..

..is kinda like having a baby.  you look forward to it for months.  the anticipation is wonderful.  all the fond memories of the joy you felt the last time are great.  the planning.  the friends.  the drinks.  the atmosphere.  mmmmmmmmmmm.  and then.. the next morning.  when you wake up on tom straights sofa and you hurt all over.  you have bumps and bruises that your not sure how you got.  you realize you spent all of your cash.  [that was the plan..] but your check card is missing so you mustve started a tab somewhere. and you would call around.  but you cant find your iPhone. ugh.  and then.. like childbirth. somehow you forget the pain. haha.  and thats why im writing this post as a note to self.  maybe just maybe next year it will help me remember and we will stay home or go on a cruise.  doubt it.  but its worth a try!  ;))

TBALLL, tball, and MORE TBall!

march two thousand twelve marks the beginning of what kyle palmer hopes to be a LOOOONG long LONGGGG baseball career of the future professional great hall of famer Korb Palmer.  ;))  his first practice was wicked cold.  and i forgot my real camera.  fail.  ..never fear we did get a few good pics with my phone.  =)  it turns out her pretty good at baseball!  we werent too surprised.  but his a coach or two were definitely surprised how hard he can throw the ball!  the whole team is SO cute!  they even have two girls on the team and not one boy complained!  

the next saturday i did not fail at bringing my camera.. but it was STILL way too cold for mommy!  and korbie STILL had his hands in his pockets quite a bit too. =)  they worked more on fundamentals..
